Telemarketing/Qualifying Representatives
SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, provides direct telemarketing for Rainmaker
Partners and/or clients with the objective of qualifying prospects and
setting appointments.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Places telephone calls to identified potential users of the particular
product or service. Rainmaker provides detailed call lists for it's
telemarketers and expects productivity of 80 - 100 outbound calls per
shift.
-
Organizes and places multiple calls within a specified shift;
maintains accurate records of calls placed and results of calls.
-
Maintains call and productivity goals, as provided by management.
-
Prepares routine periodic sales and activity reports as required.
-
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
-
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
-
Automated customer relationship management skills required, experience
using software tools such as Siebel, Act and/or Salesforce.com highly
desirable.
-
General knowledge of personal computers and MS Office required.
-
Telephone sales skills.
-
Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales targets.
-
Experience and/or strong familiarity with the high technology industry
desired.

Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
STATUS:
Full or Part time Positions available during standard business hours of 8
AM - 5 PM (8 PM for West Coast campaigns).
Database Administrator
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides technical expertise in the design,
implementation, and maintenance of relational database management systems (RDBMSs)
that support Rainmaker and client business applications. Ensures
logical data models are mapped effectively and efficiently into physical
data models that take advantage of the characteristics of the specific
database management system used.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Reviews, develops, and designs data models using standard diagramming
techniques, in conjunction with application development teams; creates
logical data models and translates into physical database structures that
integrate with existing or proposed database structures.
-
Monitors relational databases to optimize database performance,
resource use, and physical implementations of databases; addresses a
variety of database integration issues including migration between
disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion, capacity
planning issues, and new applications.
-
Maintains development, test, and production RDBMS environments.
-
Monitors and maintains database security and database software, in
cooperation with data security administrators.
-
Provides advice to applications programmers in the effective use of
database languages; advises on troubleshooting, exception processing
needs, and other data management issues.
-
Maintains availability and integrity of databases through multiple
access schemes; facilitates sharing of common data by overseeing proper
key and index management and data dictionary maintenance.
-
May evaluate and recommend testing and evaluation of new procedures,
software, and hardware.
-
Monitors and manages database backups, logs, and journals; installs,
maintains, and upgrades database software; restores and/or recovers data
as required.
-
Creates, procures and maintains various database related documents
such as manuals and programmers handbooks.
-
May provide 24 hour on-call support.
-
Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment,
and/or systems.
-
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with 1 to 3 years experience directly related to the
duties and responsibilities specified.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Certification in and/or 3 years experience working with MS SQL Server
and MS Access.

Two years experience in VB.
-
Working knowledge of HTML and Java.

Ability to interpret data models and to develop database structures.

Ability to use standard diagramming techniques to design and develop
computer data models.

Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and
modifications.

Ability to program, configure, manage, and maintain the operation of
complex relational databases.

Ability to develop and manipulate large, complex data sets.

Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications,
procedures, and techniques.

Knowledge of data integrity methods and techniques.

Ability to perform acceptance testing on computer systems,
applications, and hardware.

Technical writing skills.

Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, develops and maintains web sites for a
department, college, or program. Creates content, adapts existing content to
a Web-friendly format, creates and maintains the logical structure of the
content. Works with a variety of departments, colleges and others as
appropriate.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and maintains plan for organization's Internet presence,
based on management priorities, policy directions, and goals.

Creates enhancements and modifications to web sites; organizes and
maintains the sites.

Assesses new standards, technologies and trends, and formulates
strategies and plans for future enhancement of web sites.

Programs HTML and uploads pages to the web sites.
-
Ensures that web sites are accessible from a variety of different
environments.
-
Produces a consistent visual image on the web sites including
maintenance of templates and image archives.
-
Ensures that images are delivered to the viewer at sufficiently high
speed and quality.
-
Creates image links, and ensures that links are up to date; updates
information on pages and databases so that content is current.

Troubleshoots and repairs bugs and problems.
-
Responds to web designer mail; provides and analyzes traffic
statistics and reports.

Develops, researches, writes/edits and creates layout for new
sections/features.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Web Developers
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XML, css, JavaScript, PHP, web page
creation, and web site maintenance.

Knowledge of MS FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver required.

E-mail to grow, integrate more with other channels in '12

E-mail marketing
will increase in 2012, according to Datran Media, which found
that 82% of the marketers surveyed said that they plan to
increase their use of e-mail marketing in 2012.
Datran Media's second annual survey of online marketing
professionals, conducted in December 2007 with more than 2,000
marketers including employees of OgilvyOne Worldwide, Avenue A/Razorfish,
Stamps.com, The Knot Inc. and QVC, asked marketers about the
online channels that have an impact on their business. Despite
the sharp rise in e-mail, consumers need not be wary, as
marketers are getting more sophisticated.
“If 82% said that they were increasing sales 10 years ago, I
would be frightened, but today more firms are shifting their
offline marketing to the online space and are sending more
targeted messages,” said Lana McGilvray, VP of marketing at
Datran Media
